Dr. Subrata Naskar is a renowned neuropsychiatrist currently practising in south Kolkata. For last 8 years he has been treating patients with various mental illnesses with compassion and care for which he has received the love and respect of his patients and their families. He passed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree (MBBS) from Calcutta National Medical Collge & Hospital, Kolkata, following which he took his training in general Psychiatry (M.D) from Silchar Medical College. There he underwent rigorous training in treating patients with various psychopathologies namely schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder etc. Working in the north eastern part of India where substance abuse is a major hazard he got extensive exposure in working in deaddiction programmes for patients with various substance abuse. He also took special training in neurology from Gauhati Medical College treating patients with various neuropsychiatric problems. Following that he attended the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS, Bangalore), an institute of national importance and recieved training in child & adolescent psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and family therapy. He has numerous research papers published in national as well as international journals.

Dr. Subrata Naskar worked on numerous research projects on various mental health issues in India. He did his M.D thesis on psychiatric comorbidities and seizure disorders in intellectually disabled people. He currently has numerous national and international publications which were widely appreciated by the academic community. Currently he is working on various research projects in eastern India like Substance use pattern and personality correlates in youths; Distribution of child psychiatric disorders in school going children; Phenomenology, suicidal intent and disability in obsessive compulsive disorders; Comparing phenomenology of dissociative disorder across religions.
